Sowing seeds directly into outdoor beds saves the trouble of starting them inside, although survival rates are usually lower. Slugs, snails and birds love tender sprouts, and a sudden cold rain can rot seeds before they even emerge. I tried this once with part of a pack from Buy Cannabis Seeds | 95% Germination, Worldwide Delivery and lost about half to slugs within the first week. Starting seedlings indoors for two or three weeks and hardening them off has worked far better since.
